Gov. Inslee compares himself to Ukrainians fighting for their lives

Gov Jay..? Hello? You are trying to jail people who you disagree with. Ever heard of the First Amendment of the Constitution? Free speech? Pres. S Joe Biden has said that he doubts the 2022 mid-term elections will be fair. Are you going to handcuff S Joe? Your law applies to politicians in office who lie about elections... So, yes, Biden's speech meets your definition of illegal speech. Economic Freedom

SB 5843 at Spokesman-Review

He is as brave as Ukrainians fighting for their lives. Uhhh? He says so. Jason Rantz at KTTH

Governor Jay Inslee has long suffered delusions of grandeur. But his latest comments are so over-the-top, it is legitimately worth questioning his mental fitness to do his job.

Gov. Inslee actually compared his failed fight to ban political speech he disagrees with to Ukrainians fighting for their lives against an evil tyrant.

Inslee’s bill sought to punish lawmakers and candidates with jail if they question elections. Ironically, it’s the kind of move someone takes when they actually plan on stealing elections. Luckily, it failed to garner support because it was so blatantly unconstitutional.

Pray for Ann Davison - Seattle Prosecutor

If you live within 100 miles of Seattle pray for Ann Davison, new Seattle City Attorney (really prosecutor). In electing her the voters threw out the incumbent who stopped prosecuting… almost every crime. She has a huge challenge. She wants to move cases much more quickly, but her predecessor left a huge backup she must work through. It's very hard to do both. Sea Times

And the entire political establishment is against her. The City Council added reporting requirements before she took office that had not been applied to her predecessors for 100 years.

King County Executive Dow Constantine wants to close the County Jail. What? He already closed half of it and wants to finish it. HIs defense is covid, but he proposed the closure before February, 2020 and he is not reopening the closed part. There is a second jail that is much smaller and too far south to be the main jail. That is their thinking! They want to close the jail.

Our safety depends on her success. Please pray for Ann.

Pres. S Joe Biden will give you a free crack pipe

Pres. S Joe Biden will give you a free crack pipe through 2022 Harm Reduction Program Grant which includes 20 requirements, of which safe smoking kits/supplies is one.

Now his spokes people are running to the mikes denying what he is doing. Who are they to say? Pres. Biden's program includes crack pipes.

He calls providing the materials to continue to use drugs - or start - "harm reduction." Keep them addicted, Joe? Is that your intent?

(But He will fight you tooth and nail if you are sick and want Ivermectin.)

S Joe Bidens' big dream - Iran with nuclear weapons

S Joe Bidens' big dream is that Iran have nuclear weapons. What?? Yes. Look at what he is doing. He is removing sanctions against Iran. That means .they get the technology they need.

First, he is allowing companies to participate in Iran's "civilian nuclear program." Civilian? No such thing in Iran. It is the government and they have made it clear for decades that they intend to have nuclear weapons. And they will use the nucs to threaten Israel. They have long wanted to destroy Israel.

S Joe's people have scripts to read about how "we are in talks to"... some nice thing. But Iran's goals remain. And this helps Iran. Wall Street Journal:

WSJ meanwhile, reported that the administration expects a restored deal would leave Iran capable of gaining enough fuel for a nuclear bomb in significantly less than a year.

Gov. Inslee intends to outlaw political speech

Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington intends to make it a crime for a politician to say an untruth about an election. Uh... Ever hear of the First Amendment, Jay? It protects speech - all speech. You cannot do this, Jay.

And it's your job to obey the Constitution, not to violate it and see if you can get away with it -- expect the courts to enforce obeying it.

A judge in Wisconsin ruled that the ballot drop boxes the governor odered were illegal. Will you handcuff that judge, Gov Jay? PJMedia

In Atlanta two weeks ago President S Joe Biden said that the 2022 elections will not be valid because S.2747 his federal takeover of elections did not pass the Senate. (He called it voting rights, but it makes illegal every check to ensure that elections are honest and takes over the elections from state control.) Biden is not subject to the laws of Washington State. But if he were would you convict him of your new crime? Kim Strassel Wall Street Journal

Please vote against the federal takeover of elections S.2747

 Senator Patty,

Please vote against the federal takeover of elections S.2747. It is NOT a voting rights bill, no what Chuck Schumer says. It has a nice name, but it would reduce the integrity of our elections.

ID for voting. Canada, Mexico and every European country except the UK require photo ID. Why? To make sure no one can claim to be another person to vote when not allowed to. Or multiple people. This would make it illegal to require ID, allowing fraud.

Mail-in voting is a huge opportunity for vote fraud. When ballots arrive at the post office boxes many of them go … where? And it invites people to go door to door collecting ballots. What do they do with those ballots? An invitation to fraud. Chuck Schumer’s bill requires this.

Absentee voting. In 2004 the Carter-Baker Commission on Federal Election Reform (ex-President Jimmy Carter) found that absentee voting allows fraud. Voter files contain ineligible, duplicate, fictional, and deceased voters, a fact easily exploited using absentee ballots to commit fraud. Again Chuck Schumer encourages fraud.

And it is the federal government taking over election responsibilities given to the states by our Constitution.

So please vote against S.2747 and that John Lewis bill.

Martin Luther King Jr called the church to be faithful when it matters

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

“Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase.”

“I have decided to stick with love. . . . Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

Today we remember Martin Luther King Jr - how he held us to our own standard - that all people are created equal and have rights from God, not from government.

Every year I read his letter from a Birmingham jail in which he calls pastors - the church - to do what Jesus Christ told them to do.

Wear a mask for me

I am not a good mask wearer and never will be. Other people seem to look forward to hiding behind a piece of cloth. Given that they put the darn things on when they are in a car alone; some wear one when jogging not near anyone. I can’t stand it. I have to breathe and I can’t wearing a mask. One expert semi-defender of mask wearing said “at least people will touch their faces less (very weak reason). Not true! I am constantly tugging and rearranging the thing - touching my face more.

My biggest complain about masks is that about half of those we see worn are worthless. A cloth mask is equivalent to covering your sneeze or cough. That MIGHT reduce you giving covid to someone else, more likely NOT, but it doesn’t protect you in the slightest. So every expert that says masks help is telling a half truth. Which is worse? - to tell an untruth/half truth you know or to claim you are an expert and not know you are spreading falsehood?

The only mask that offers protection against the tiny, tiny virus is the M95. I have two of them (pretty old), but can’t remember the last time I saw anyone wearing one. KN95 offers less protection. And the throw-away paper mask gives slight protection. Everything else does nothing. Nothing.

Wear a mask for me. Or two or three masks… No, NOT for me, but for yourself. It might make you feel good.

Tell us, Joe Biden, about your Democrat friends

Calling me a racist? In Atlanta Tuesday Pres. S. Joe Biden said that anyone who favors showing ID to vote is on the side of Bull Connor, George Wallace and Jefferson David.

Those three were racists and slave holders and all Democrats. Demo Bull Connor arrested 1200 high school students and sent dogs and fire hoses against them in Birmingham, Alabma. He was a member of the Democratic National Committee.

Jefferson Davis was a slaveholder and president of the Confederate States of America which took up arms and killed Americans to protect slavery. A Democrat.

George Wallace was a proud racist Democrat governor of Alabama. And friendly with Joe Biden. Biden received an award from Wallace in 1973 and bragged about it in 1987.

Did Biden really brag about friendship with Wallace? See Your News.

It looks to me like if you favor ID for voting you are an American involved in the give and take of policy. Joe Biden opposes it and is the proud friend of racist Democrats.

[I corrected misspellings.]

Georgia Democrats chased away the baseball all-star game

I think the ML baseball all-star game would not have been pulled from Atlanta if Stacy Abrams (she thinks she is governor) and the other Demos hadn't lied about the Georgia voting law. Pres. S. Joe Biden received 4 Pinocchios for the lies he told - from the Washington Post!

Georgia tightened the ID requirements for mail-in ballots. But they increased the in-person early voting. Total effect is pretty neutral. And Biden's claim about not being allowed water when in line is not at all true. Access to water is allowed in the law. What the law blocks is candidates buying votes with gifts. Of course!

(I have seen it reported, but not verified, that this law moves Georgia closer to the laws in New York!)

Queen of hearts impeachment

Congress held a Queen of Hearts trial this week. “Sentence first, then verdict” But their version was “convict first, then evidence… eh… no!”

Evidence? Steven D’Antuono, assistant director of the FBI’s Washington field office in a press conference Tuesday said that the FBI knew for weeks ahead that an attack was planned. Did Congress have a hearing to consider this evidence? No.

Source: Daily Beast 1/13/2021.

“Insurrection” means one thing in the news, another when spoken by a politician and another in the legal setting. Congress was supposed to use the legal definition. Did they have hearing so they could ask legal experts the relevant meaning of insurrection and whether it applied to their action Wednesday? No.

What did President Trump say on January 6? He said “we will walk to the Capitol” He said “… to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” And he did not say otherwise elsewhere in that speech. I consider that to be evidence.

Leftist activists including John Sullivan of Utah have been arrested for what they did at the Capitol that day. Were they leftist Trump supporters? Did Congress ask them? Did they ask them why they were there? No.

Hearings? Evidence? Didn't see any; didn't look for it. It would have taken time, but they had to convict now! We expect such defiance of common sense and legal proceedings from Nancy Pelosi. But not from Republicans elected to Congress.

Ancient Greece?

I didn’t intend to focus on ancient Greece, but … I kind of stumbled into it. About 5 years ago Hugh Hewitt on the radio strongly recommended reading “The Peloponnesian Wars” by Thucydides in an edition called “The Landmark Thucydides.” I got the 1996 edition from the library and found it very good, because every time a place is mentioned there is a map on the same, or next, page, even if the same map is repeated several times. I always have to know where places are! BTW, It was beyond foolish that Athens and Sparta went to war and kept at it for 21 years with little, not peace, but pause during all those years.

Then six months ago in the Kindle store I found the biography of Alexander the Great by Anthony Everitt, then found it in the library and read it. (It’s great that King County Library has books in Kindle format.) Somehow - maybe Hugh Hewitt again - I heard there was a good history of the Persian Wars with Greece, which is mentioned many times in Thucydides, since it greatly influenced those events. “Persian Fire” by Tom Holland. I just finished it. It is very well written. It doesn’t get to the wars until half way through, because it covers the background of the Medes, Persians, Babylonia, Sparta and Athens, which I greatly needed, but don’t test me on all those people!

I read the Bible on a continuous cycle; I get through the New Testament in about 8 months and the Old in about 18 months. I am now in Acts and find myself looking up every location mentioned so I can map it in my mind!

I don’t intend to specialize in Ancient Greece, but … today I was in Third Place Books looking at the bargain books table - the one way, way in the back - and found “The Landmark Thucydides” in paperback, 2007 edition, new for $11 and I bought it!

About maps in Kindle editions: My Kindle is a paper white later edition. It is excellent for reading in all lighting conditions, but is monochrome and its resolution, while excellent for reading, is very inadequate for graphics like maps. Of course I can open any Kindle book on our Mac, my IPhone and our iPad and Mom's Kindle Fire - all have color. Surprisingly the IPad was no better and the same for the Fire. Well, a little better, but not to read place names on a detailed map. But my iPhone XR gets the award! Despite the small screen, maps whose text is illegible on the other devices is sharp on my iPhone! (I didn't try the Mac and it's too late now; library got it back.)  19 October 2020

Do you want me to wear this mask?

Some people chant “just wear a d... mask”. I have two N95 masks. N95s are designed to protect the wearer, not others. Not all N95s are the same; some even have a one-way valve, so that exhaling is not filtered at all. Are you safe if I wear my N95s?

Historically masks have been designed to stop the exhalation of bacteria. The Wuhan virus is much smaller - about 1/10. Fast Company I could wear a bandana and give the appearance of wearing a mask when there are only 2 thin layers of cloth. I doubt that protects either the wearer or others, but it looks like you did something. Do you want me to wear a bandana?

Some people are careful to clean their masks. But many say "just wear a d... mask." Do they want me to wear a dirty one?

I wear a mask as required. When I enter a business the mask goes on one step before and off one step after exiting.

Outside fresh air and vitamin D help more than filtering the oxygen I need when no one is near. The virus's life in fresh air is seconds. When doing my daily one-hour walk I carry a mask to put on when I encounter fearful people, but only when 6 feet cannot be maintained. Gov. Jay made not wearing a mask a crime. But outside it's only when you are within 6 feet of another person. So that's what I do.

The mask show: Our governor is getting better at it. He shows up wearing a mask, then gets caught taking it off when he is off camera. He doesn't get caught so often now, but it appears to be for show for Gov. Jay!!

I don’t think any one-line chant applies to maximizing the health of the public in this difficult situation. Wear what mask -- when -- where -- based on science?

Three things about impeachment and a bonus

First, history: Impeachment in the Constitution is for high crimes and misdemeanors (which are also crimes). Ex-Pres. Clinton was accused of a crime: lying in court. Trump is not accused of any crime. And Clinton’s impeachment was bipartisan: Five Democrats voted for it. But we expect zero Republicans to vote for it tomorrow.

Second: The second charge is obstructing Congress. Hello? Read the Constitution. There is separation of powers. The president doesn’t work for Congress any more than Congress works for the president. Our government was designed to allow and expect conflicts between branches. If the president should be fired for such conflicts so should be Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer.

Third: Charges about Ukraine disappeared in the past month, but got it going. The first Question about Ukraine: Was there a national need for what Pres. Trump asked for in that call? Yes. Our tax dollars were going to Ukraine and Ukraine was known as one of the most corrupt nations in the world. It is the president's responsibility to try to find about and cause the end of corruption before he sent our tax dollars there.

Bonus: What President Trump is guilty of is defeating Hillary. There was talk of impeachment before he was sworn in!

Bonus 2: Honorable Charles Schumer demands that President’s people testify and promises to do it fairly. The Demos had a chance to show they would be fair. They gave it to Rep. Schiff who held the hearings in a secret room, severely restricted Republican witnesses, prevented witnesses from answering and  held press conferences to release a very selective subset of the testimony (Then  released the rest days later in a form hard to use). We have been shown what to expect.

OK, Congressman Castro, now I will donate

A member of Congress doxxed * donors to his brother's opponent President Trump who are in his district. Joaqin Castro (D, TX) is the congressman; his brother the candidate is Julian Castro.  When he was asked if his disclosure might result in the people he named being harassed he say he didn't mean any harm. Then why did he spend money for a newspaper ad to disclose their names and associated companies and accuse them of being terrible people?

OK. I am sending a donation to President Trump's reelection campaign ASAP. Thanks to Castro for getting me going.

* Doxxing is posting in public the names and other information of people who had reason to expect privacy. This is semi-doxxing because donor information is public, but Castro intentionally put these people in the spotlight with a cruel accusation.

Jay Inslee tried to get attention this week.

Our Gov. Jay Inslee didn’t tell us his job was part-time. I don’t think it is, but he is part-time. He is regularly at press conferences in California and small events in Iowa and New Hampshire, while spending $4 million of our taxes for security while out of state. He focuses his brave run for president on climate change. He is so successful that in aggregation of polls he is getting 0.6, that is less than 1 per cent! He is behind people you haven’t heard of like Julian Castro and someone named Bullock, tied for #13 with two guys from Colorado and someone named Delaney.

So how can Gov. Jay break out? Play clown? He made a proposal that doesn’t pass the smirk test - to nominate a soccer star to be secretary of state in his imaginary administration, because she has inspired us so much. Wow. How brave of him!
See American Thinker.

But with Gov. Jay’s failure to get to 1.0 (per cent) another candidate is announced who will carry Jay’s platform of climate change. Tom Steyer. People tell me he has less charisma that Kamala Harris. But he can spend $100 million of his oil and coal money on his fantasy run. (Yes. He got rich on coal. Powerline)

Reparations not for slavery

To understand the current call for reparations.

Reparations is where people who never owned slaves, whose parents never owned slaves and whose gradparents never owned slaves...

Pay cash to people who never were slaves, whose parents never were slaves and whose grandparents never were slaves...

Furthermore… Some of those who pay had ancestors who fought - some died - in the Civil War to free the slaves….

And some of those who would receive had ancestors who owned slaves. Some of these have white great grandparents who owned slaves; Barack Obama had slave-owning ancestors. (His great…grandfather George Washington Overall owned slaves in Kentucky The Guardian.) And there were free black people who owned slaves.

It doesn’t make any sense at all to me. What do all those candidates and congresspeople want? And why?
