Seattle had our coldest April in 120 years. Our average daytime high was 6 degrees colder than average - 52.2 versus 58.2.
May started warm on Sunday, but rain and cold returned today, Monday.

... D'Amico said the reason for the crummy spring is La NiƱa, the semiregular weather pattern created by unusually cold ocean temperatures near the equator in the Pacific Ocean.
